RUNNING BACK RANKINGS - WEEK 14
Peterson is clearly the #1 fantasy running back option this week with a matchup against the lowly Detroit defense. 175-200 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns is very possible.
2. Michael Turner - Atl = @NO
Expect Turner to get his 20 carries and a couple of goal line chances as well this week. 100-125 rushing yards, 1-2 touchdowns.
3. Matt Forte - Chi = Jac
He’s been money all year, and after Slaton’s rumbling on the Jaguars defense last week, Forte should post 100-125 rushing yards and 1-2 touchdowns.
4. Chris Johnson - Ten = Cle
After last weeks explosion, another favorable matchup for Johnson this week makes him a good bet to post 100-125 total yards and 1-2 touchdowns.
5. Thomas Jones - NYJ = @SF
Jones is the key to the Jets offense, and a matchup against the 49ers defense should make him good for 100-125 total yard and 1-2 touchdowns,
6. LaDainian Tomlinson - SD = Oak
His talent is too immense to rank him lower, but its hard to count on him for fantasy stats no matter how bad the opponent is. 80 total yards, maybe 1 touchdown on the low end; 125 total yards, 1-2 touchdowns on the high end.
7. Steve Slaton - Hou = @GB
The Green Bay defense hasn’t been able to stop anyone the past two weeks, and Slaton is the clear #1 running back now that Ahman Green is out for the year. 100-125 total yards, 1-2 touchdowns.
8. Marshawn Lynch - Buf = Mia
With quarterback questions this week, Lynch should get a full workload at home this week. 100 total yards, 1 touchdown.
9. LenDale White - Ten = Cle
As usual, LenDale has a great chance to post a touchdown or two this week. 50-75 rushing yards, 1-2 touchdowns.
10. Larry Johnson - KC = @Den
Excellent matchup for Johnson, finally has him in the top 10 again. Anything less than 100 rushing yards and 1 touchdown would be a huge disappointment this week.

Waiver Wire Madness - Week 11
Article Written by Anthony Pinzone
November 13th, 2008
Ok we missed a couple weeks there with the waiver wire madness, but it’s back! Here ya go, top 5 waiver wire pickups for each position (minus kicker.. who gives a lick?)… enjoy!
*Note - no defenses this week either.Quarterbacks
Tyler Thigpen - Kansas City Chiefs
If you haven’t noticed by now… Tyler Thigpen is the hottest QB in the fantasy football world. Scoring over 20 fantasy points in each of his last 3 games, Thigpen has become a lock to start in any league, for any team struggling to find a solid QB. He plays the Saints this weekend who have let up plenty of points through the air, so don’t hesitate to put him in!!
I’ve been skeptical of Quinn… I won’t like, but he did look hella good against the Broncos last week. Derek Anderson is most likely done for the season, so if you had him, drop him, and add this kid. He faces a struggling Buffalo Bills team on Monday night, so if you’re weak at the position, he’s a solid choice. Daunte Culpepper - Detroit Lions
He did pretty bad last week, but he only practiced for a few days!!! He has some decent weapons on offense with Kevin Smith and Rudi Johnson in the backfield, as well as Calvin Johnson, Mike Furrey and Shaun McDonald at WR to make some catches. He plays a tough Carolina defense this weekend, so you might wanna give him some time to get used to the offense, but he could be a solid option for the final stretch of the season. Shaun Hill - San Francisco 49ers
Hill made some pretty stupid mistakes against a tough Arizona defense, but is it me, or did he look like a viable fantasy starter? When not looking like he was a lost puppy dog, Hill looked solid and made some great throws. It was only his 3rd NFL start ever, and I honestly expected him to start the whole season for the 49ers. He’s a solid QB, who like the previous 3, could really help your team down the stretch. Sage Rosenfels - Houston Texans
Well, again another QB who looked really bad last week. However, history says that Rosenfels will play really well, and I’d expect him to as well. He faces a Colts defense that hasn’t been fantastic this year, but has started to pick it up as of late. If you don’t have a QB though, and you don’t feel comfortable with the other guys, you could expect a 200 yard game and at least 2 scores this weekend from Sage.
Week 10: RB Rankings
Article Written by Hawk32
November 6th, 2008

1. Frank Gore - SF = @Ari
Gore is probably the safest bet at RB this week. 125 total yards and 1 touchdown is nearly a given.
2. LaDainian Tomlinson - SD = KC
Tomlinson could easily be ranked #1, but Gore has produced on a more consistent basis. Still the potential for a big game from Tomlinson is there. 125 total yards, 1-2 touchdowns.
3. Adrian Peterson - Min = GB
Good matchup for Peterson on paper, but the Packer defense has shown before they can bottle up AP. 80-100 rushing yards, 1 touchdown on Peterson’s potential….but its not a sure thing.
4. Michael Turner - Atl = NO
After last week’s 139 rushing yard performance, Turner should post another 100 rushing yards this week. Lets hope he notches that TD this week as well.
5. Maurice Jones-Drew - Jac = @Det
Well MJD got a touchdown last week, but the total yardage was terrible considering he was going against the Cincinnati defense. I guess considering every other running back who has gone against Detroit this year has done exceptional…why cant MJD? 125 total yards, 1-2 touchdowns on pure potential only…he’s no safe bet though.
6. Ronnie Brown - Mia = Sea
Looks like a decent matchup for Brown, as he should rack up 100 total yards and 1 touchdown.
7. Brian Westbrook - Phi = NYG
This will be a tough, tough, matchup for Westbrook, but he is still the main component of the Eagles offense. 100 total yards is likely, but a TD will be hard to come by.
8. Brandon Jacobs - NYG = @Phi
Jacobs should get plenty of carries as the bruiser this week. 80-100 rushing yards, maybe 1 touchdown.
9. Marshawn Lynch - Buf = @NE
Came up sick last week, but assuming he is healthy, Lynch is a good play this week. 80-100 total yards, 1 touchdown.
10. Jamal Lewis - Cle = Den
Excellent matchup for Jamal, and with Brady Quinn at QB, Lewis should have no problem notching 100 rushing yards and 1 touchdown.

Waiver Wire Madness!!! - Week 8
Article Written by Anthony Pinzone
October 24th, 2008
Welcome to the first installment of Waiver Wire Madness!! Here we’ll break down some key players who could possibly be free agents in your league and would most definitely be worth a look. Today we have 10 players for you to take a look at, some which may have been on a team previously but were dropped, and others you may have never heard of… so let’s get into it!
Dominic Rhodes - RB - Indianapolis Colts
Rhodes started his reign as RB off pretty slow in week 6, but bounced back with a vengeance in week 7! Rhodes put up 73 yards rushing, 2 rushing touchdowns, 4 receptions and 41 receiving yards! Not a bad performance for someone likely sitting in your free agent pool. This week he will face the Titans, which isn’t a very good matchup for him, however in week 9 Indy goes up against the Pats who have done their fair share of letting up rushing yards. I’d find a spot to stock this kid, no matter if Addai comes back, he’ll be getting carries.
John Carlson - TE - Seattle Seahawks
Well, the Seahawks team of 2008 is absolutely horrible, good thing for fantasy owners is that they have to have at least one person who can score, and that person has been John Carlson as of late. In week 7 he only made 3 catches for 11 yards, but he also had a touchdown, good enough for a top 10 spot among scoring Tight Ends in week 7. If you’re hurting at TE, Carlson isn’t a bad option.
Matt Cassel - QB - New England Patriots
Although Cassel played a Broncos defense that was without Champ Bailey, he sure did look good on Monday Night. His spirals were tight, his throws on the money and his performance… stellar. This looks like a completely different player than we’ve seen in the past few games, which could be a sign that he’s finally getting the hang of the system and fully adjusting to the speed of the game. He faces a really weak St. Louis defense this week, so look to use him if you’re hurting from byes, or add him to your bench just in case he turns into another “Tom Brady” prospect.
